National EMS Week

Each year during May, one week is dedicated to celebrate and honor those persons who have chosen to a mart of the Emergency Medical Services field. Both volunteer and career EMS personnel have dedicated their time to providing high quality medical care to the sick and injured.

National EMS week was started by Presidence Gerald Ford in November 1974. Since then every sitting President has dedicated a week to honor our Emergency Medical Services personnel. Please take a moment to read this year's dedication.

Also, please take a moment to stop and honor all EMS professionals.
